Introduction

Why does it takes me so long to list a book - yes, I do have a problem when listing books to sell - time.  There is always something that catches my attention about the book and I have to check it out - whether it is the name of the author, publisher or edition dates, the past owner's name and location written on the inside cover or free end paper, the genre of the book, interesting introduction to the book, to whom the book is dedicated to and/or it's binding.

I have always enjoyed reading.  I remember sitting in a half circle in front of our 1st grade teacher learning to read with each student taking a turn to read a paragraph from our Dick & Jane books (this was back in the 1950s).  I always found it much more fun reading than recess or taking naps.  My brother's 2nd grade reader, "Around the Corner" was also a favorite.  I'm not sure if he was suppose to have turned this 1953 edition back to the school or not, but hopefully the statue of limitations are up.

So I've decided to start a page called Book Briefings.  It is going to be dedicated to the interesting tidbits and fun facts of some of the books that I am listing in my bookstore.
